Job summary

Ingenium, a management consultancy, is seeking an AI Engineer to join our growing team in Ireland. You'll design, build and deploy AI systems in real client environments, using real data and aligning with security and governance requirements.

This hands-on, client-facing role involves moving from proof of concept to production, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering reliable AI solutions that solve real business challenges across strategy, transformation and digital innovation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in software engineering or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems used by real users.

Responsibilities

• Build & Deploy AI Solutions using LLMs and agentic AI.
• Assess feasibility and required data/integrations.
• Develop retrieval approaches and connect AI to existing apps and data sources.
• Establish evaluation baselines and measure performance.
• Move solutions into production with monitoring and guardrails.
• Explain technical decisions to stakeholders and produce documentation.
