Job summary

INFICON is seeking a proactive Field Service & Technical Support Engineer in Ireland to deploy, install, and configure FabGuard monitoring systems across tool groups. You will provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnose Windows issues, and deliver customer training to maximise system performance.

You will coordinate with process engineering and equipment teams in fabs, test software updates, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining strong customer relationships and cleanroom

Qualifications

• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to work with customers in a technical field.
• Experience in cleanroom environments is desirable.
• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, SECS/GEM, Modbus TCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, install, and configure FabGuard monitoring systems across multiple tool groups (Etch, CVD, PVD, Litho).
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for FabGuard software and hardware.
• Diagnose Windows system issues; perform PC installation and cabling.
• Create recipes and data analyses using FabGuard for FDC.
• Deliver customer training on INFICON products and identify improvement opportunities.
