Job summary

Coffeeangel in Ireland is seeking a hands-on team member to work between the kitchen and counter. You’ll support the kitchen team with prep, cleaning, and behind-the-scenes tasks, and help the baristas deliver warm, efficient service to customers.

If you like variety and taking pride in your work, this could be the perfect fit. Training provided with progression through Coffeeangel Academy for kitchen or front-of-house paths.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus but not essential.
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 15 kg.
• Availability for early starts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and keep the shop looking great.
• Clear and sanitise tables throughout service.
• Support the barista team during busy periods.
• Restock displays and service areas.
• Receive deliveries and check temperatures.
• Operate the till when needed.
• Wash equipment and keep kitchen surfaces clean.
• Assist with basic food prep under supervision.
• Store deliveries correctly and manage FIFO.
• Complete HACCP records and cleaning logs.
• Report maintenance or food safety concerns immediately.

Job description

This is a hands-on, varied position that covers both the kitchen and the counter. Some shifts you'll be supporting the kitchen team — prepping, cleaning, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Others you'll be out front, helping the baristas deliver the kind of warm, efficient service our customers come back for.

What you'll be doing

On the floor:

• Welcoming customers and keeping the shop looking great
• Clearing and sanitising tables throughout service
• Supporting the barista team during busy periods
• Restocking displays, fridges, and service areas
• Receiving deliveries and carrying out temperature checks
• Operating the till when needed

In the kitchen:

• Washing equipment, pots, pans, utensils, and crockery
• Keeping all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean and organised
• Supporting basic food prep under the direction of the kitchen team
• Receiving and correctly storing deliveries (FIFO stock rotation)
• Completing HACCP records and cleaning logs
• Reporting any maintenance or food safety concerns immediately

What we're looking for

• A positive, reliable person who takes pride in their work
• Happy to move between kitchen and floor duties as needed
• Good energy under pressure and a genuine team player
• Comfortable standing for a full shift and lifting up to 15kg
• Available for a range of shifts including early starts from 5:15am, mornings, weekends, and public holidays
• Right to work in Ireland

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus, but not essential — we'll train the right person.
