Job summary

Musgrave is seeking an Assistant Trading Manager/Assistant Buyer for Alcohol to own sales, margin and cash profit within a defined budget. The role supports range, price, promotion and supply chain across On Trade, Musgrave Marketplace, Daybreak, SME and Independent brands.

You will assess market trends, plan ranges, negotiate with suppliers and manage promotions to maximise retailer margins and market position.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years experience in a Trading/Buying environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess market trends.
• Excellent Microsoft Office and Outlook skills.
• 3rd level business related degree.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for sales, margin and cash profit within budget.
• Develop range, price, promotion and supply chain plans.
• Assess market trends and plan ranges and planograms.
• Review pricing, margins and promotional P&L.
• Coordinate seasonal product ranges to maximise sales.
• Maintain accurate product and price files and admin.
• Collaborate with supply chain and suppliers to ensure availability.
