Cisco is seeking a Security Operations support engineer in Galway to maintain AI-enabled security platforms, cloud services, and automation workflows. You will monitor service health, troubleshoot issues, and improve observability.

You'll develop automation using scripting (Python/Bash/JS) and partner with security, cloud, infra teams to drive incidents response and vulnerability management.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years in security, systems, cloud, or infrastructure operations.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident detection, incident response, or security platforms, including AI-enabled or automated capabilities.
• Proficiency with scripting or automation tools, such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Experience supporting Linux systems and cloud environments, including troubleshooting and service operations.
• Familiarity with observability practices and tools, including logs, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks.

Our Security Engineering team advances Security Operations through applied AI, automation, cloud technologies, and observability. We use AI-enabled tools and operational data to improve the security platforms, integrations, and workflows that support vulnerability management, incident detection, and response. This support role helps keep those services reliable, visible, effective, and continuously improving.

Your impact

Support and maintain AI-enabled security platforms, cloud services, integrations, and automation workflows used by the Security Operations team. Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of related experience in security, systems, cloud, or infrastructure operations.

• Experience supporting vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident detection, incident response, or security platforms, including AI-enabled or automated capabilities.

• Proficiency with scripting or automation tools, such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.

• Experience supporting Linux systems and cloud environments, including troubleshooting and service operations.

• Familiarity with observability practices and tools, including logs, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with AI-enabled security platforms such as Splunk, or similar security analytics and automation tools.

• Experience applying AI-assisted analysis, automation, or workflow capabilities to security operations.

• Experience with APIs, webhooks, JSON, YAML, authentication mechanisms, and system integrations.

• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD pipelines, or configuration-management tools.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, Splunk, CCNP Security, CISSP, or comparable technical training.
