Job summary

IAIRO is seeking an Engineering Intern with strong software engineering fundamentals and a practical understanding of AI systems. You will contribute across backend, frontend and AI components, building end-to-end solutions.

You will join a small engineering team to prototype features, improve internal tools and help develop AI-enabled products while learning modern development workflows and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering
• Familiarity with Python and data structures/algorithms
• Experience building software or applications beyond coursework
• Experience with full-stack development and APIs/databases
• Understanding of basic ML concepts and model workflows
• Ability to read documentation and learn new technologies quickly
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Build backend services, APIs and data pipelines
• Develop and improve web applications and user interfaces
• Integrate language models and other AI models into applications
• Work with model inference, prompts, and model APIs
• Process and transform data for AI and software applications
• Prototype new product features and ideas
• Test, debug and improve system performance
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle from prototype to deployment
