Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is recruiting a Programme Lead to manage and motivate a team delivering before/after school and holiday clubs in local schools. The role requires coordinating daily activities, engaging with children and families, and ensuring high standards across sessions.

With a focus on energy, enthusiasm and safety, you will bring at least 2 years’ experience with school-aged children, hold a childcare qualification, and have access to a car for the programme. Garda vetting is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Childcare qualification (Fetac Level 5 or equivalent).
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed after interview).
• At least 2 written references before starting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team effectively.
• Maintain day-to-day activities of the programme.
• Interact daily with children, families, and staff.
• Use technology and software (Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Require own car for programme lead role.
• Bring energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Prefer experience with school-aged children (minimum 2 years).
