Job summary

Daffodil Care Services is recruiting Social/Residential Care Workers for Aftercare services in Santry, Co. Dublin. You will support vulnerable young adults aged 18–23 to gain independence, within a 24/7 staffed framework and a trauma-informed approach.

The role includes 48-hour average weeks with sleepovers, evenings, weekends, and overnights. A relevant degree and CORU registration eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the listed fields.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of rights and entitlements aftercare leavers.
• Understanding of mental health behaviours and trauma-informed care.
• Experience supporting young adults (under 25) in care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised interventions to young adults aged 18–23 to enable safe progression to independence.
• Support and empower residents, acting as advocate as appropriate.
• Work as a lone worker within a team to maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment.
• Identify goals and person-centred targets to aid development of independent living skills.
• Manage shifts in a sleepover/overnight enhanced care pattern.
