Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead a nursing home in Dublin, Ireland. The role focuses on supporting the DON, ensuring HIQA compliance, and maintaining high standards of resident care.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years' ADON or acting ADON experience, be registered with NMBI, and demonstrate leadership, organisational and communication skills. Ireland work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• At least three years of ADON or acting ADON experience.
• Registered with the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBI).
• Familiarity with HIQA rules, standards and processes.
• Post-registration training in gerontology and/or dementia care preferred.
• Ability to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Support the DON in fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
• Know HIQA notification forms and deadlines and respond accordingly.
• Create and implement action plans; review complaints and incidents.
• Ensure residents' quality of life objectives are met.
• Oversee ongoing evaluation and tailoring of nursing care.
