Job summary

Donegal Centre for Independent Living CLG is seeking a Personal Assistant for Letterkenny. Hours vary due to emergencies, sickness and annual leave. The PA supports the Leader with personal care, educational, workplace, and social tasks, enabling independence and choice.

Candidate should have QQI Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, a full clean driving licence, and previous personal care experience is desirable. Garda Vetting is required before starting.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and respectful approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
• QQI modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person (or be willing to complete these while working with us).
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Experience of providing personal care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Leader with personal care and daily routines.
• Provide educational, workplace, family and social supports to the Leader.
• Support the Leader's independence and decision-making.
