Silver Stream Healthcare Group in Ballincurrig, County Cork, is seeking a Relief Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team. You will lead group and individual activities to enhance residents’ emotional, physical and social wellbeing, creating a warm, home-like atmosphere.

You’ll work collaboratively with care staff, adapting activities to residents’ interests and needs, while promoting autonomy, joy and meaningful participation in daily life.

Competenze

• Experience in a healthcare or social care setting preferred.
• Ability to plan engaging activities for residents.
• Strong communication and empathy with residents and staff.

About the role

What You’ll Do

As a Relief Activities Co-Ordinator, you’ll support our team by leading engaging activities that promote the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of our residents. You’ll help create a homely and enriching atmosphere, through fun, creativity, and connection.

In this role, you will:

• Organize and lead group and one-to-one activities that promote social, physical, and mental wellbeing

• Support residents in exploring new hobbies, talents, and pastimes

• Create a programme of inclusive, engaging, and accessible activities

• Foster autonomy, confidence, and a sense of purpose through positive engagement

• Collaborate with nursing and care staff to understand residents’ interests and needs

• Document participation and progress, including photos and consent where required

• Help reduce boredom, loneliness, and anxiety by creating a stimulating environment
