Job summary

Curam Care Homes is recruiting a Part Time Activities Assistant for our Knockrobin Hill, Co Wicklow Home. The role supports the delivery of a Meaningful Activity Programme allowing residents to participate in meaningful activities daily.

Experience in care is advantageous; training will be provided. IT skills and familiarity with EpicCare are desirable, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Desirable arts and crafts activities are welcome in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in Care of the Older Person in a residential care setting is advantageous.
• Sonas Programme course desirable but training will be provided.
• Good IT skills.
• Familiarity with EpicCare is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Meaningful Activity Programme for residents.
• Support residents with cognitive, physical, sensory and intellectual impairments as part of daily activities.

We are recruiting a Part Time Activities Assistant to join our Knockrobin Hill, Co Wicklow Home.

The Activities Assistant assists in the implementation of a Meaningful Activity Programme within the home to ensure that all residents can participate in meaningful and life enhancing activities as part of their daily life in residential care. This includes older people with cognitive, physical, sensory and intellectual impairments.

Requirements

• Experience working in Care of the Older Person within a residential care home setting is advantageous.
• Relevant experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided:
• Sonas Programme Course completed is desirable but not essential as training will be provided;
• A good level of IT skills;
• Familiarity of EpicCare platform is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with colleagues and residents;
• Demonstrable skills in cooking, gardening, knitting, music, arts and crafts is desirable.
