Airport Staff in Ashbourne, Republic of Ireland, seeks an Accounts Technician to join a busy practice. You will prepare working papers and financial statements, manage client accounts, and file VAT, VAT RTD, and RCT returns, including draft year‑end files and bank reconciliations.

The role requires at least 3 years’ experience, an Accounting Technician or IPASS qualification, and strong Excel and Sage Accounts skills, plus excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a busy accountancy practice.
• Accounting Technician Certification or IPASS qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare accounts to trial balance.
• Ability to work under time pressure and manage workload independently.
• Proficient in Excel and Sage Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working papers and financial statements per procedures.
• Manage client accounts, typically quarterly or bi-annually.
• Prepare, complete, and file VAT, VAT RTD, and RCT returns.
• Prepare draft year-end files.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Address and resolve client queries effectively.
• Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Undertake other ad hoc duties as required by the business.
