Job summary

• Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts receivable and credit control.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and precision when processing financial transactions.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve queries and discrepancies proactively.
• A strong commitment to maintaining accurate financial records and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process customer receipts, including cash and EFT, and allocate payments to the debtors ledger.
• Receive and lodge cheques to the bank and record transactions in ledgers.
• Monitor and manage unapplied cash and ensure timely allocations.
• Reconcile debtor accounts and match receipts to balances.
• Process and issue credit notes with proper documentation.
• Request remittances and dispatch customer statements.
• Carry out credit control activities and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Respond to customer queries promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with customers to obtain remittance information and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the Finance Team to maintain accurate records and AR processes.
