Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP function and ensure accurate, timely processing of supplier transactions. You will provide clear leadership to the team, maintain strong financial controls and work closely with stakeholders to ensure processes are consistently followed.

The role also takes ownership of process improvement, system utilisation and the continued development of the Accounts Payable team.

Qualifications

• At least four years’ experience within an Accounts Payable environment.
• Experience managing or supervising an Accounts Payable team.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance-management skills.
• Experience managing change and redesigning processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Confidence working independently.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, setting clear responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training and development to ensure capability to perform effectively.
• Proactively manage team performance and address areas for improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Ensure full and effective use of the finance system across the function.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure agreed processes and controls are followed.
• Manage supplier and internal stakeholder queries; resolve issues promptly.
• Lead projects and process-improvement initiatives across AP.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls.
• Ensure workflows and procedures are complete and reviewed.
• Maintain high standards of compliance with documented procedures.
