Job summary

Auxilia Group Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Executive for a permanent, on-site role in Naas, Co. Kildare. The position supports financial operations in the engineering/construction sector and requires strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years in an accounts role, a recognised accounting qualification, and be capable of handling reconciliations, VAT returns and month-end tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant role.
• Accounting technician or similar qualification.
• Experience in construction industry an advantage.
• Payroll experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplier reconciliations and payment runs.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow.
• Process employee expenses and ensure appropriate approvals.
• Maintain accurate financial records and cost allocation.
• Processing payments and bank transfers.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Assist with month-end and year-end preparation.
