Job summary

Aveo Foods Limited in Tallaght, Dublin 24, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant (Bookkeeper) to run day-to-day bookkeeping, reporting to the Managing Director initially. The role covers ledgers, reconciliations, VAT, and payroll inputs.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' bookkeeping experience covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank and VAT.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Irish VAT and payroll compliance.
• Able to work to fixed period-end deadlines with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Purchase ledger: supplier invoice processing, PO matching, query resolution, weekly payment runs.
• Sales ledger: customer invoicing, receipts, debtor collection, retailer portal invoicing.
• Weekly bank reconciliations, including the invoice discounting account.
• Bi-monthly VAT returns and annual RTD, filed on ROS.
• Payroll inputs and journals (CollSoft).
• Period-end accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
• Maintaining audit-ready finance records.
