Job summary

JCPS Mechanical is a leading, expanding mechanical engineering and HVAC business with a busy Ballycoolin, Dublin 11 finance team. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support day-to-day accounting, reporting to the Financial Controller and help maintain accurate records across the AR, AP and payroll functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience within a finance team.
• Solid hands-on experience with AR and AP processes.
• Payroll experience would be a strong advantage.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and well-organised with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable (AR) including invoicing, credit control and cash allocation.
• Accounts Payable (AP) including processing supplier invoices and reconciliations.
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting as required.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger accuracy.
• Liaising with internal departments and suppliers/customers to resolve queries.
• Supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc finance duties.
• Weekly payroll processing.

JCPS Mechanical is a leading and rapidly growing name in the Mechanical Engineering & HVAC sector. As we continue to expand, we're looking for talented people to grow with us. Our finance team is at the heart of the business, supporting our operations with accuracy, efficiency, and a can-do attitude and we're now looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join us.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance person to join a busy, fast-paced finance department within a thriving business located in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our accounts function, working closely with a supportive and dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, credit control, and cash allocation
• Accounts Payable (AP), including processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing payment runs
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting as required
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting general ledger accuracy
• Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers/customers to resolve queries
• Supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc finance duties and projects
• Weekly Payroll processing

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4 years' experience working within a finance team
• Solid, hands-on experience with AR and AP processes
• Payroll experience would be a strong advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a similar industry (construction, mechanical, or Engineering) is beneficial but not essential
