Job summary

Sandvik is seeking an Accountant (Hybrid) for a permanent role in our Dublin Office. The role focuses on efficient handling of general accounting activities and ensuring IFRS compliance.

You will support month-end, reconciliations, and reporting, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience, a university degree in business/finance, and ACA/ACCA qualification.

• University degree in Business / Finance.
• Qualified Accountant - ACA or ACCA.
• Min 3 years relevant work experience with accounting, analysis and project work.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Monthly Management Reporting.

We are now recruiting for an Accountant (Hybrid) - for a permanent role in our Dublin Office.

JOB PURPOSE

To provide efficient handling of the general accounting activities. To ensure compliance with IFRS, local legislation and Sandvik processes and regulations in the general accounting area.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of Monthly Management Reporting:
• Ownership for accurate and timely accounting for assigned sections of the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Preparation of month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Detailed review of month end results, understanding key business drivers for movements compared to forecast and trend.
• Prepare, review and challenge Group reporting submitted through reporting module.
• Develop detailed understanding of areas of responsibility and implement best practice process documentation and monthly review processes.
• Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders: leading meetings with key stakeholders, maintaining high standard of service, responding to queries and providing routine & ad hoc analysis in a timely manner, and work with relevant stakeholders in association with management of assigned accounting areas.
• Identify and manage process improvements and pro-actively identify areas for improved efficiency and improvements to accounting policies and processes.
• Preparation of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations.
• Support implementation of new systems, reporting solutions, and automation initiatives.
• Maintain robust Internal Control processes and validate that internal controls are implemented and operational.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Tax and Treasury teams to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner, drive efficiencies and promote best practice.
• Act as a mentor to other team members, share knowledge with wider finance team through knowledge share sessions and other forums.
• Function as back-up for other roles within the Finance organization.
• Other ad hoc duties as requested by management.

Experience

Min 3 years relevant work experience (1+ years post-qualification), with specific experience in accounting, analysis and project work, preferably within a large global company or Big 4

Education, Licenses & Certificates

• - University degree in Business / Finance
• - Qualified Accountant - ACA or ACCA qualification
