Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an Account Director based in Dublin to manage and grow a commercial insurance portfolio. You will oversee renewals, alterations, and claims, while guiding Account Executives and strengthening client relationships.

Join a team focused on integrity, professionalism and client service excellence. A CIP with progression toward MDI/ACII is preferred, with a minimum of five years in commercial insurance, and a collaborative, flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• CIP qualification with progress toward MDI or ACII.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to embrace change.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical and product knowledge, with excellent negotiation skills.
• Compliance with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to Account Executives and support them in managing client relationships.
• Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
• Negotiate with insurers to secure the best coverage and terms for clients.
• Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities to meet income retention and acquisition targets.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality file records.

How you'll make an impact

As anAccount Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. You’ll:
