Job summary

Kepak Kilbeggan is seeking an Abattoir General Operative to help ensure the smooth daily operations on the factory floor. You will be part of a skilled team producing cuts and trims of meat to Kepak specifications, while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include prestart and hygiene checks, operating knives and machinery safely, and meeting line-speed targets in a fast-paced environment. Full training is provided and long-term development opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to learn and follow supervisor instructions.
• Previous abattoir experience is an advantage but not required.
• Commitment to safety and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce cuts and trims of meat according to Kepak specifications.
• Maintain efficiency at the line speed and meet production targets.
• Perform prestart, hygiene and safety checks as instructed.
• Report issues to the Line Supervisor and follow safety rules.
• Operate knives and machinery with care once trained.
