Kepak Kilbeggan is seeking an Abattoir General Operative to help run daily factory operations, producing cuts and trims to Kepak specifications while maintaining line speed and quality. You will work with a team on the factory floor, following strict safety and hygiene rules and operating knives and machinery carefully.
Prior abattoir experience is beneficial but not required; full training will be provided, with emphasis on safety and performance in a fast-paced environment.
As an Abattoir General Operative in Kepak Kilbeggan , you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations to keep up with customer demand for our top - quality products. You will be a vital part of our team on the factory floor, working alongside other skilled operatives to achieve our goals.
Perform prestart, hygiene and safety checks as instructed
Ensure product is of the highest standard, reporting any issues to the Line Supervisor
Comply with Company's knife and Health and Safety rules, including hygiene requirements
Operate knives and machinery with precision and care, ensuring all equipment is handled safely and efficiently.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing processes and embrace new methods of working
As part of the factory's abattoir team, the successful candidate will produce cuts and trims of meat according to Kepak specifications, maintaining efficiency at the line speed.
This role involves meeting production targets in a fast - paced environment while ensuring standards are met
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong character: hardworking, self-motivated and dependable
Consistently meet production targets while maintaining the required line speed
Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods
Operate machinery safety once full training has been provided
Previous experience in an abattoir is an advantage but not required
Comfortable with the physical nature of the rol, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Willingness to learn, take direction, and support additional tasks as required by the line supervisor
