Job summary

ESB IT Delivery seeks an experienced Application Support Specialist to join the Business Application Support team, maintaining and improving critical ESB applications across generation operations, energy trading and networks.

You'll work with stakeholders, vendors and IT teams to ensure availability, reliability and 24/7 operations, including on-call support and disaster recovery testing, with hybrid work arrangements and attendance at ESB Head Office in Dublin as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' IT experience in Application/Production Support or DevOps.
Experience supporting enterprise multi-tier applications.
Strong Windows Server administration and support.
Solid software troubleshooting and incident management skills.
Experience with change control processes and technical documentation.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem solving.

Responsibilities

Maintain availability, performance and security of business-critical applications through monitoring and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to ensure high customer satisfaction and continuity.
Support application releases, upgrades, changes and disaster recovery, including failover testing.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver and integrate new applications and ensure knowledge transfer.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and service enhancements.
Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality end-to-end services.
Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support as required.
