Job summary

The Rotunda Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Staff Nurse for Colposcopy on a specified purpose contract. This on-site role involves working with the nurse colposcopist, doctors and nursing staff to deliver a sustainable clinical service.

Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with NMBI and have clinical experience in gynecology, maternity, theatre or NICU. Excellent communication, audit/research participation and commitment to professional development are essential.

Qualifications

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the NMBI (Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland).
• Possess high standard of clinical and administrative capacity for the duties of the office.
• Previous experience in Gynaecology, maternity, theatre or NICU settings.

Responsibilities

2026/129 Staff Nurse Colposcopy

Specified Purpose Contract, Full Time Position

The post holder is expected to work closely with the nurse colposcopist’s, doctors and other nursing and administration staff in the delivery of a sustainable clinical service to meet the needs of our population. Vision, innovation, flexibility, good communication, and managerial and teaching skills and an understanding of research and auditing skills are vital components of this position.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must be:

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann)

And

• Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
