Job summary

PT Caturbintang Rikie Pratama in Jakarta is seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our Engineering team. The role involves precision welding for fabrication and assembly of our electrical and electronic components, contributing to product quality and reliability.

You will perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding, interpret drawings, prepare surfaces, inspect welds, and maintain equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on welding experience, strong attention to detail, and safety-conscious working

Qualifications

• Experience as Welding Technician or similar welding role in engineering/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, stick, and gas welding.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding specs.
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and regulations.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks in varying environments.
• Strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience with electrical/electronic components is desirable.
• Valid welding certification recognised in Indonesia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components with precision and accuracy.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure welding work meets exact requirements.
• Prepare materials and surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and positioning components prior to welding.
• Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Document welding procedures and maintain accurate records of completed work.
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality objectives.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of welding machinery and related equipment.
