Job summary

Michelin Indonesia is seeking a Water Engineer to operate and monitor water treatment equipment and ensure a reliable supply of treated water meeting quality standards.

The role emphasizes water quality, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement of operations, including maintenance and data recording. It is based at Site Tebo, Jambi or Site Bengalon, Kalimantan Timur, with a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven min. 2 years experience in water treatment plant operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken, minimum B2 level).
• Willing to be based in Site Tebo, Jambi or Site Bengalon, Kalimantan Timur.

Responsibilities

• Water Treatment Operations: Operate, monitor, and adjust water treatment equipment and processes to ensure a reliable supply of treated water that meets required quality standards.
• Water Quality & Compliance: Conduct routine water sampling and testing, monitor operating conditions, and ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
• Maintenance & Operational Efficiency: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pumps, valves, filters, piping systems, and chemical delivery equipment while responding promptly to operational issues and equipment failures.
• Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate operational records, production data, and maintenance logs; analyze performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and propose future capacity expansions to support long‑term operational needs.
