Job summary

Michelin Indonesia is seeking a Water Engineer to operate and optimize water treatment and distribution in the Water Piping Department. You will monitor treatment processes, ensure water quality, and maintain equipment to support a reliable supply.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental/Chemical engineering background, 2+ years in water treatment, and English at least B2. Based at Site Tebo, Jambi or Site Bengalon, Kalimantan Timur, you’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven min. 2 years experience in water treatment plant operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken, minimum B2 level).
• Willing to be based at Site Tebo, Jambi or Site Bengalon, Kalimantan Timur.

Responsibilities

• Water Treatment Operations: Operate, monitor, and adjust water treatment equipment and processes to ensure a reliable supply of treated water that meets required quality standards.
• Water Quality & Compliance: Conduct routine water sampling and testing, monitor operating conditions, and ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
• Maintenance & Operational Efficiency: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on pumps, valves, filters, piping systems, and chemical delivery equipment while responding promptly to operational issues and equipment failures.
• Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate operational records, production data, and maintenance logs; analyze performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and propose future capacity expansions to support long‑term operational needs.
