Job summary

PT Alfa Valves Indonesia is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and improving industrial valve products, including Ball, Gate, Globe, Check, Butterfly, and API 6A types. You will prepare detailed drawings, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with international standards.

We require a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Industrial Eng, 2–3 years in valve design, and proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
2–3 years of experience in valve industry.
API 6A valve design experience is a plus.
Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with API/ASME/ASTM/ISO standards.
Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Develop new valve designs and improve existing product lines based on market requirements.
Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and technical documentation using CAD.
Design valve components (body, bonnet, stem, trim, seats, seals, actuators).
Perform calculations: pressure, Cv, torque, wall thickness, stress analysis.
Prepare General Assembly Drawings and datasheets for sales orders.
Support technical bids and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet design specs.
Assist root-cause analysis and field issue resolution.
