Job summary

PCI Private Limited, a proud member of the Celestica family, is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer in Batam. PCI, headquartered in Singapore, delivers end-to-end design, supply chain, and engineering solutions as part of the Celestica group.

In this role you will drive VAVE and cost savings, qualify parts, filter components, collaborate with suppliers, audit vendors on site, and perform teardown and optimization to reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or tooling design.
• 3+ years in tooling design, product/project engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in mechanical manufacturing, tooling, precision engineering, or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding, metal stamping, and precision machining.
• Proficient reading GD&T drawings and tolerances, understanding costing factors.
• Based in Batam or able to travel frequently to local suppliers.
• Senior level considered for strong candidates.

Responsibilities

• Drive VAVE and cost-saving initiatives across designs and processes.
• Qualify parts and apply gatekeeping for project suitability.
• Filter and select components by analyzing drawings and specs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, and suppliers.
• Audit suppliers on site to ensure tolerances and cost targets are met.
• Perform teardown analyses to benchmark and optimize assemblies.
