Job summary

PT Archi Indonesia Tbk seeks an experienced Underground Ventilation Engineer to design, model, and optimize ventilation for active mines. You will collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure safe airflow and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include using Ventsim, Deswik, and Surpac for modelling, producing regular ventilation reports, and guiding improvements to mine development. Proficiency in English and Indonesian is required; POP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in underground mining.
• Proficient in English and Indonesian.
• POP (Operational Supervisor) certification is required or preferred.
• Awareness of safety and environmental standards in mining.

Duties

• Develop and update underground ventilation plans based on mine development, production targets, and Life of Mine (LOM) plans.
• Forecast ventilation material requirements in coordination with Underground Production and Mine Planning Engineers.
• Conduct ventilation surveys and monitor airflow, air quality, and hazardous gases to ensure safe underground mining conditions.
• Design, evaluate, and optimize ventilation systems, including main fans, auxiliary fans, ventilation ducts, and regulators.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly ventilation reports, including airflow measurements and system performance.
• Utilize mining software such as Ventsim, Deswik, and Surpac for ventilation modelling, simulation, and mine planning support.
• Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations and ventilation standards, and support underground mine expansion and operational improvement projects.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience in underground mining.
• Languages: Proficient in English and Indonesian.
• Organizational Competencies: Previous experience in student or campus organization management.
• Managerial Competencies: Has attended leadership training.
• Technical Competencies: Proficient in mining software, including Deswik, Surpac, and Ventsim.
• Certification: Possesses a POP (Operational Supervisor) certification.
• Awareness of company safety and environmental standards.
