Job summary

StraitsX Group is seeking Software Engineers who want to go beyond coding and shape the backbone of modern fintech. In Treasury and Financial Systems you’ll build and maintain systems powering reporting, reconciliation, and automation that safeguard billions in financial flows.

You’ll partner with Finance, Treasury, Data, and Compliance, taking end-to-end ownership and translating domain-heavy requirements into scalable technical solutions for trusted financial operations across Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

• 1 year of software engineering experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or Golang (both is a big plus).
• Strong data analysis skills: BigQuery, SQL optimization, dbt, and familiarity with OLTP/OLAP tradeoffs.
• SQL and database design expertise.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, ideally in a microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Bonus: familiarity with Agile, fintech, or financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Build reporting platforms that ensure compliance and precision.
• Develop dashboards and monitoring systems that track and reconcile assets vs. liabilities.
• Build automated reconciliation systems to detect, investigate, and resolve mismatches across internal and external financial systems.
• Create systems that auto-generate journal and ledger entries into ERP and treasury platforms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Data, and Compliance to translate domain-heavy requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement real-time monitoring and anomaly detection for treasury operations.
