Job summary

StraitsX Group is seeking a Software Engineer on the Engineering Excellence team to improve developer productivity, reliability, and security across the organization. You will design and maintain internal platforms, AI-powered tools, and engineering standards to help teams move faster and operate more effectively.

You will partner with varied domains to understand challenges, reduce friction, and deliver impactful solutions while upholding secure, scalable development practices.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Experience with backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and query optimization.
• Experience building developer tools or internal platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal tools, platforms, and AI-powered solutions.
• Support tooling used by Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve system reliability and performance.
