Job summary

RecruitFirst Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Logistics Leader to drive growth across the China–Indonesia trade lane. You will develop lane strategies, manage profitability, and lead negotiations with shipping lines and agents.

The role requires 5–8 years in freight forwarding with China–Indonesia exposure, strong Mandarin business proficiency, and a solid track record in business development and account management. A senior, strategic position with global logistics scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international business, transportation, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, preferably with China–Indonesia exposure.
• 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of ocean and/or air freight, including FCL/LCL and international shipping.
• Understanding of China–Indonesia import/export regulations, customs, and routes.
• Proven experience in business development, customer acquisition, and key account management.
• Strong commercial skills: freight rate negotiation, pricing, margins, and P&L awareness.
• Fluent in Mandarin at business level; English proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive TEU/CBM and shipment volume growth for the China–Indonesia lane.
• Develop and execute trade lane strategies to improve performance and coverage.
• Manage lane profitability, pricing, and margins to meet targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, lines, agents, and partners.
• Identify new business opportunities within the China–Indonesia market.
• Coordinate with DeWell’s China offices for cross-border operations and development.
• Negotiate freight rates, capacity, and terms with lines and agents.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth.
