Job summary

Saipem requires an experienced Telecommunication Engineer to lead activities within the Telecommunication domain across construction and commissioning phases. The role emphasizes QA/QC, HSE compliance, and collaboration with project teams to ensure alignment with client requirements and internal standards.

You will review client FEED and COMPANY technical documents, prepare MT-O and BOQ related telecommunications drawings such as UHF, VHF Marine, CCTV, and VSAT installations, and coordinate with

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in telecommunication, electrical, or related major.
• 5–10 years of experience in Telecommunication engineering, design, testing, and validation.
• Experience reviewing CLIENT documents such as FEED and COMPANY technical documentation.
• Experience in preparing Telecommunication specifications, MTO & BOQ, and equipment drawings (UHF, VHF Marine, CCTV, VSAT).
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Execute activities within own Telecommunication area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements
• Participate to Site Acceptance Test and functional checks
• Provide technical and engineering support to construction Team
• Perform site engineering activities during construction and commissioning phases
• Review Client technical documentation and requirements
• Coordinate subcontracted engineering activities and control subcontracted engineering documents
• Define engineering design basis and guidelines
• Prepare the technical documentation for Telecommunication material and services requisitions and prepare, according to internal procedures, the technical evaluations
• Provide technical support to Project Team
• Optimize Telecommunication Systems design ensuring minimal cost and complexity in compliance with the contractual and safety requirements
• Prepare Telecommunication systems functional specifications
• Coordinate detail engineering activities and ensure proper installation drawings definition
• Participates to F.A.T. activities and Vendor workshop

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor degree in telecommunication, electrical, or other related major
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in Engineering for Telecomm; design, checking, validation, testing and engineering Telecommunication Systems.
• Experienced in review Project documents from CLIENT such as FEED & COMPANY technical documentation and requirements.
• Experienced in prepare Engineering Documents for Telecomm technical specifications, Telecomm MTO & BOQ; Radios: UHF, VHF Marine, Crane Radio; LAN & Telephone, PAGA, CCTV Surveillance), VSAT, telecomm installation specifications and drawings, including checking the implementation in 3D model, and Validate vendor or TSI Documents & Telecom Equipment.
• Familiar to work with Ms. Word & Ms. Excel
