Job summary

Allure Industries in Indonesia seeks a Technical Manager to oversee machinery operations, anticipate future factory needs, and lead technical upgrades in a vision of AI-enabled, high-performance manufacturing.

This role focuses on preventive maintenance, capacity planning, Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to improve OEE and efficiency while guiding vendors and training teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or similar.
• 5-10 years of experience in technical management within manufacturing (aluminum, metal, glass or building materials preferred).
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all factory machines and maintain peak performance with minimal downtime.
• Lead future machinery planning, feasibility assessments, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Drive Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives, IoT sensors, real-time dashboards, and data-driven improvements.
• Lead maintenance teams, establish SOPs for maintenance and safety, and improve OEE.
• Analyze bottlenecks, optimize workflow and machinery sequencing, and support automation projects.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, QC, and PPIC for new product development and pilot production.

We are looking for a Technical Manager who will not only manage current machine operations but also anticipate future factory requirements, lead technical upgrades, and support Allure's transformation into an AI-enabled, high-performance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machinery & Equipment Management

• Oversee all factory machines.
• Maintain machines at peak performance with minimal downtime.
• Implement structured preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead initiatives to improve machine utilization and output quality.

2. Future Machinery Planning & Strategic Alignment

• Anticipate machinery, automation, and technical capabilities required for future production capacity and new product categories.
• Conduct feasibility assessments for new equipment.
• Benchmark global manufacturing technologies to strengthen Allure's competitive edge.
• Participate in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting new machines together with Procurement and Management.
• Lead installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Train operators and technical teams on new machines and safety standards.

4. Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives

• Collaborate with the other teams to integrate IoT sensors and real-time machine monitoring dashboards.
• Explore new technologies that enhance visibility, speed, and efficiency in Workshop operations.
• Support the long-term vision of building a smart, data-driven factory.

5. Maintenance Leadership

• Lead the maintenance team to solve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-system issues.
• Establish SOPs for maintenance, safety, and machine handling.
• Track and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Reduce breakdown frequency through strong preventive routines.

6. Technical Improvement & Workshop Efficiency

• Analyze bottlenecks and improve workflow, process layout, and machinery sequencing.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive cost-efficiency and energy-saving programs.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with machinery suppliers, service providers, and spare-part vendors.
• Ensure timely availability of critical components.
• Oversee technical aspects of contracts and vendor performance.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, R&D, QC, and PPIC teams.
• Provide technical insights for new product development and pilot production.
• Support skill development for operators and technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
• 5-10 years of experience in technical management within manufacturing (aluminum, metal, glass, or building materials preferred).
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with new machine procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with AI, IoT, or digital factory systems is a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
