Job summary

Mercy Corps Indonesia seeks a Deputy Manager - Technical (DMT) for the NZMATES program in Ambon. You will lead a technical team delivering studies, designs and training materials to support renewable energy projects with PLN, Dinas ESDM and educational partners.

The role requires strong English, 7+ years in RE, and proven NGO collaboration. You will travel up to 50% and help build local capacity while ensuring safety, quality and donor compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with Renewable Energy specialization is highly desirable.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in renewable energy development programs.
• Experience with international NGOs or development organizations.
• Collaboration with Indonesian government agencies (e.g., Dinas ESDM, EBTKE, PLN) is required.
• Proficient in Homer, PVSyst, PSS Sincal and SAM.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the NZMATES technical team.
• Oversee deliverables including studies, designs, budgets and BOMs.
• Coordinate with government partners and private sector stakeholders.
• Ensure HSS standards and risk management across projects.
