TRIPATRA in Indonesia seeks an experienced Tax Specialist to perform day-to-day tax verification and monthly reconciliation, ensuring accurate withholdings, VAT, and CIT processing. The role supports tax audits and may act as the Taxpayer’s Authorized Representative when required.

The candidate will verify vendor tax withholdings, review tax rates, and maintain audit-ready documentation, with a focus on Articles 4(2), 23, 26, 29, and VAT compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Fiscal/Tax Administration, or related field (required).
  • Brevet A & B Tax Certification is advantageous.
  • SKK, SKT, or related qualifications are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Coretax and SAP.
  • Experience with tax audits, objections, and appeals.

Responsibilities

  • Verify tax withholdings, prepaid tax balances, and other tax matters daily.
  • Review tax rates/objects on vendor invoices for compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
  • Verify supporting tax documents like tax invoices and withholding tax slips.
  • Perform monthly tax reconciliation for Income Tax Articles 4(2), 23, 26, 29 and VAT.
  • Prepare and issue tax invoices per regulations.
  • Reconcile tax ledgers against returns and schedules.
  • Perform Corporate Income Tax calculations and file the Corporate Income Tax Return.
  • Investigate and resolve tax reconciliation differences within reporting periods.
  • Maintain audit-ready tax reconciliation papers and documentation.
  • Track tax payment and reporting due dates for timely compliance.

Job description

Position Description:

Responsible for performing day-to-day tax verification and monthly tax reconciliation to ensure that tax withholdings, prepaid tax balances, and vendor-related tax matters are accurately recorded, reconciled, and supported by complete documentation. The role also supports tax audits and may act as the Taxpayer’s Authorized Representative in accordance with the applicable tax regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify tax withholdings, prepaid tax balances, and other tax matters charged by vendors on a daily basis based on supporting invoices and documents.
  • Review tax rates and tax objects applied to vendor invoices to ensure compliance with prevailing Indonesian tax regulations.
  • Verify the completeness and validity of supporting tax documents, including tax invoices and withholding tax slips, prior to processing.
  • Perform monthly tax reconciliation covering Income Tax Articles 4(2), 23, 26, 29, and Value Added Tax (VAT).
  • Prepare and issue tax invoices in accordance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Reconcile tax ledger balances against tax returns and supporting schedules.
  • Perform Corporate Income Tax (CIT) calculations and prepare and file the Corporate Income Tax Return.
  • Investigate and resolve tax reconciliation differences within the applicable reporting period.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready tax reconciliation working papers and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date tracker of tax payment and reporting due dates to ensure timely compliance with tax obligations.
  • Support tax audits and tax authority correspondence by gathering and preparing the required supporting documents and data.
  • Monitor updates to Indonesian tax regulations relevant to the business and highlight potential impacts to the Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and organized tax documentation, both physical and digital, in accordance with the company’s record-keeping policy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Fiscal/Tax Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in taxation.
  • Experience in a construction company is an advantage.
  • Brevet A & B Tax Certification is an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, particularly Income Tax Articles 4(2), 21, 22, 23, 26, and 29, as well as VAT.
  • Proficient in Coretax and SAP.
  • Experience in handling tax audits, objections, and appeals.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Possess SKK, SKT, or other relevant qualifications/documents required to act as a Taxpayer’s Authorized Representative in accordance with the applicable regulations.
