Job summary

KN Consulting in Bali, Indonesia, is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial records, tax compliance and reporting. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and assist with audits, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, 3+ years in accounting or tax, proficiency with accounting software and Excel, and strong English communication. Knowledge of payroll is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or tax roles, preferably within a professional services or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent understanding of financial statement preparation and reconciliation processes
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in numerical work
• Professional certification such as Brevet A or Brevet B taxation qualification is preferred
• Solid communication skills in both Indonesian and English (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of payroll processing and employee taxation is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment and collection
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Monitor and ensure compliance with tax obligations, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT) and other regulatory requirements
• Prepare and lodge tax returns and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with tax planning and provide recommendations to minimise tax liabilities within legal parameters
• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow monitoring
• Support internal and external audit activities, providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures, documenting transactions and ensuring adherence to internal controls
• Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on accounting and tax matters as required
