Job summary

Seven Retail is seeking a Teacher Recruitment & Training Supervisor in Jakarta to lead recruitment and development of Public Speaking teachers. You’ll ensure the right teachers are hired, onboarded, and trained to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

The role requires strong English communication, experience in teaching or training, and the ability to build a small, capable team. You will collaborate with Curriculum and Operations to maintain teaching standards and curriculum alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; experience in teacher recruitment is preferred.
• Experience in English instruction or TESOL is advantageous.
• Strong recruitment, interviewing, and selection skills with ability to set standards.
• Experience designing or delivering teacher training programs and materials.

Your Day-to-Day

We're looking for a Teacher Recruitment & Training Supervisor to lead the recruitment and development of our Public Speaking teachers. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring we have the right number of teachers, with the right quality and capabilities, to deliver excellent learning experiences for our students.

• Lead teacher recruitment planning to ensure we meet our teacher headcount and quality targets.
• Set and continuously improve teacher selection standards and assessment processes.
• Oversee teacher onboarding and ongoing training programs based on business needs, teacher performance, and teaching quality insights.
• Monitor teaching quality and identify individual and systemic teacher development needs.
• Turn quality findings into actionable training and development plans and track their effectiveness.
• Oversee the development of training programs and materials, ensuring they are aligned with our teaching standards and curriculum.
• Lead and develop a small team consisting of a Teacher Recruiter and Teacher Trainer.
• Work closely with Curriculum and Operations teams to continuously improve our teacher recruitment, training, and quality standards.
• Periodically participate in teacher candidate interviews and assessments to ensure we continue to hire teachers with strong potential.

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, English Education, Psychology, Educational Management, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in any field may be considered with relevant experience.
• High proficiency in English (minimum C1 CEFR level), with strong command of both spoken and written English. Proof of English proficiency (such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English exams, or equivalent) is required.
• Experience teaching English as a second language, especially to young learners.
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and develop teachers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying capability gaps and determining development needs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment, training, and teacher development activities.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or facilitating Public Speaking, Communication, Presentation, Debate, Storytelling, or related skills is preferred.
• Experience in teacher training, coaching, or Learning & Development is preferred.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, training methodologies, and curriculum development is preferred.
• Experience in interviewing or assessing candidates, particularly for teaching or facilitation roles is preferred.
• Experience designing or managing training programs, learning materials, or teacher development initiatives is preferred.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team is preferred.
