Job summary

HSBC is seeking a data analyst in Jakarta to extract, validate, and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and other processing tools. You will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports to support performance and decision-making.

We expect strong SQL, advanced Excel, and data visualization skills (Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, VBA, Python, Altair). Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or MI experience preferred.
• Strong SQL knowledge for data extraction, editing, and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, and VBA/Macro.
• Experience with Python and Altair is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or experienced in MI role would be preferable
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction, editing and analysis.
• Advance Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, power Pivot Query and VBA/Macro.
• Working skill in phyton and Altair will be an advantage
• Strong Analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to details.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Good communication and able to interpret user need into statistical analysis
