Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee monitoring, management, and reporting of forest carbon stock.
• Ensure the implementation of deforestation mitigation strategies in support of forest carbon programs.
• Ensure carbon measurement methodologies meet national and international standards.
• Supervise field activities, including carbon inventory and ecosystem monitoring.
• Prepare carbon reports required for verification and certification.
• Analyze the feasibility of carbon projects, including credit calculations and profit projections.
• Conduct risk and business analysis for carbon projects and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Monitor and supervise the creation of LCAM (Mitigation Action Achievement Reports) and DRAM (Mitigation Action Plan Documents).
• Lead emission project creation and perform emission calculations using agreed allometric methods based on SRN, VERRA, NDC, or other international regulations.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in forest management, conservation, or GIS and satellite image analysis of land cover changes.
• Preferably have experience in carbon-related forest projects such as REDD+, SRN, and VERRA Verified Carbon Standard (VCS).
• Possess technical skills in carbon accounting and inventory, ecosystem monitoring, carbon project analysis (including carbon credits and profit projection), emission calculation using allometric methods; familiarity with LCAM and DRAM documentation; strong understanding of both national and international carbon regulations.
