Job summary

Fairatmos is seeking a climate and nature-based solutions professional based in Jakarta to lead project development, feasibility studies, and verification processes for carbon projects. The role involves working with biodiversity and community partners and applying standards like HCV, FPIC, and SIA.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, with English fluency required. Experience in remote sensing and carbon stock assessments will be highly valued, with Mangrove

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the climate and nature-based solutions sector.
  • Experience in carbon, payments for ecosystem services, project development, remote sensing, and community engagement is highly preferred.
  • Speciality in Mangrove Restoration would be a plus.
  • Strong conceptual problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; ASEAN sustainability and business landscape exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project timeline, stakeholders, and verification to ensure certification process success.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess carbon credits potential, economics, and risks of carbon projects.
  • Collaborate with Biodiversity and Community partners to realize impact per standards such as HCV, FPIC, SIA.
  • Interpret remote sensing data to assess project feasibility and quantify carbon credits potential.
  • Carry out carbon stock assessments from sample determination to data collection and processing.
  • Work with field partners to ensure programs are carried out according to plan.

  • Working with Biodiversity and Community partners to realize impact referring to several standards such as HCV, FPIC, SIA
  • Interpreting remote sensing data to assess carbon projects feasibility and quantify the carbon credits potential
  • Carrying out carbon stock assessments, starting from determining sample, data collection, and processing carbon stock data
  • Working with field partners to ensure that the programs implemented are carried out according to plan
What This Role Needs
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the climate and nature-based solutions sector. Very strong preference if candidate has experience in carbon, payments for ecosystem services, project development, remote sensing, and community engagement. Speciality in Mangrove Restoration would be a plust
