Job summary

KARUNIA PILAR NUSANTARA is seeking a Senior Superintendent – Onshore Pipeline to lead and supervise onshore pipeline construction activities, including ROW preparation, welding, NDT, coating, and hydrotesting, at a remote project site in West Papua.

You will manage contractors and coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Survey, Civil, Welding, Coating, and Hydrotest teams to ensure smooth field execution, develop work plans, and ensure compliance with drawings, method statements, ITPs, and

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Pipeline Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in pipeline construction in Oil & Gas or related projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or Superintendent role.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction, welding, NDT, coating and hydrotesting.
• Familiar with API 1104, ASME B31.4/B31.8, and ISO codes.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise onshore pipeline construction activities including ROW prep, stringing, welding, NDT, coating, lowering, tie-ins, backfilling and hydrotesting.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Survey, Civil, Welding, Coating and Hydrotest teams to ensure field execution.
• Develop and monitor daily, weekly and monthly work plans managing manpower, materials and equipment to hit milestones.
• Ensure activities comply with drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and contractual requirements.
• Enforce HSE requirements through toolbox talks, risk assessments and safe work practices.
• Act as interface between Construction Management, contractors, QA/QC, HSE and clients, reporting progress and mitigation plans.
• Review reports, site records, as-built drawings and turnover documentation for handover and pre-commissioning.

Superintendent – Onshore Pipeline

Job Descriptions:

• Lead and supervise onshore pipeline construction activities including ROW preparation, stringing, welding, NDT, coating, lowering, tie-ins, backfilling, and hydrotesting
• Manage contractors and coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Survey, Civil, Welding, Coating, and Hydrotest teams to ensure smooth field execution
• Develop and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly work plans while managing manpower, materials, and equipment to achieve project milestones
• Ensure pipeline construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, quality standards, and contractual requirements
• Enforce HSE requirements through toolbox meetings, risk assessments, site supervision, and implementation of safe working practices
• Act as the key interface between Construction Management, contractors, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives, including reporting progress, site issues, and mitigation plans
• Review progress reports, site records, as-built drawings, and turnover documentation to support pipeline system handover and pre-commissioning

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical, Civil, Pipeline Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline construction within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related projects
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or Superintendent role
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction, including welding, NDT, coating, hydrotesting, and tie-in activities
• Good knowledge of applicable pipeline codes and standards, including API 1104, ASME B31.4/B31.8, and ISO
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Good English and Bahasa Indonesia communication skills, both written and spoken
• Willing to work on-site in a remote project location in West Papua
