Job summary

Jakarta Intercultural School is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee Accounts Payable and Treasury functions within a dynamic school environment. You will supervise AP operations, manage cash flow, and ensure strong internal controls across multiple currencies and banking relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Accounts Payable, or related finance functions, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow management, bank reconciliations, payment processes, internal controls, and financial risk management.
• Demonstrated leadership, team management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and coordinate with administrators, management, and stakeholders.
• Experience with finance and accounting software systems or ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and initiative.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English and Indonesian.
• Ability to work with diverse national and cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and respect.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations to ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Review payment batches and supporting documentation for proper authorization and accuracy.
• Ensure payments follow approved schedules and contractual terms while managing cash requirements.
• Coordinate with Tax to ensure compliance with withholding tax and related deductions.
• Review vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor AP subledger vs General Ledger reconciliations and address reconciling items.
• Support cash flow forecasting and financial reporting through monitoring outstanding invoices and cash commitments.
• Maintain internal controls over vendor master data and payment processing.
• Supervise and develop AP team members; implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Safeguard cash and manage cash flow and banking relationships; oversee treasury functions and liquidity management.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor bank balances; optimize fund allocations across accounts.
• Oversee cashier operations and online/offline payment channels; ensure secure processing.
