Job summary

J-PAL Southeast Asia seeks a Senior Manager (Partnerships) to lead growth of strategic partnerships and fundraising with governments, foundations and international donors in Indonesia and the region.

You will triage opportunities, assemble teams, mentor 1–2 staff, and represent J-PAL SEA in external meetings to advance evidence-based policymaking and durable collaborations. This role reports to the Executive Director and sits on the management team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics or public policy.
• Eight+ years of experience with governments, foundations or development agencies.
• Proven fundraising success with proposals and donor stewardship.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Experience managing teams across countries/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Identify partnership opportunities and build a diversified funding pipeline.
• Lead or contribute to grant proposals and fundraising materials.
• Mentor 1–2 team members; support staff development and wellbeing.
• Represent J-PAL SEA in external meetings and donor engagements.
• Support strategy and relationship management with government and international partners.
