Job summary

Novotel Samator Surabaya Timur is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting, budgeting, and controls for a 264+ room hotel. You will oversee daily cash flow, payroll, AP/AR, and GL reconciliations while ensuring GAAP compliance and robust internal controls.

You will mentor the accounting and night audit teams, manage financial systems, and present performance metrics to senior management and owners. A CPA/CA is advantageous and familiarity with USALI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CA/CMA/ACCA is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in hotel accounting or hospitality finance within a 4-star hotel chain or international property with 264+ rooms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency with hotel accounting systems, PMS, POS, and finance software, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of tax regulations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead the annual operating budget process and periodic forecasts with department heads and GM.
• Monitor daily revenue, expenses, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and GL reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, licensing, insurance obligations, and GAAP.
• Supervise accounting and night audit teams to maintain accuracy.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to prevent fraud and minimize risk.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and financial systems.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
