Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading FMCG company based in Jakarta for an experienced External Affairs Manager. The role leads government relations, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement to protect and advance the companya0s interests.

You will monitor regulatory developments, build strategic relationships with government bodies and industry associations, and support senior leadership with policy insights and reputation initiatives in Indonesia.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in External Affairs, Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, or Public Policy in FMCG or regulated industries.
• Experience engaging with government institutions, regulators, industry associations, and external stakeholders in Indonesia.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, public policy development, and corporate reputation strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to advise senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess regulatory and policy developments, identify potential business risks, and recommend strategies to minimize commercial and operational impact.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry associations, and key external stakeholders while representing the companys interests in policy discussions.
• Drive corporate reputation initiatives through CSR programs, public-private partnerships, and coordinated external communications in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on regulatory trends, stakeholder dynamics, and external affairs matters to support informed business decisions.
