Job summary

Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk seeks an External Affairs Superintendent (Industrial Estate) for IKIP Project to lead external relations in Southeast Sulawesi. The role interfaces with government, communities, and internal teams to support project development and responsible operations.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in external affairs or government relations within mining or large-scale industrial development, with strong regulatory knowledge and bilingual communication in Indonesian and English.

Qualifications

• Experience in external affairs, stakeholder management, or government relations in mining or industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to develop strategic engagement plans balancing commercial interests with community needs.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian regulatory frameworks relevant to land use and environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Indonesian.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement external affairs strategies for the industrial estate component of IKIP Project.
• Manage relationships with government agencies at local, provincial, and national levels.
• Oversee community engagement initiatives and maintain relations with local communities.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including indigenous groups to address concerns and build consensus.
• Monitor regulatory and social landscape to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Support social and economic development programs benefiting local communities.
• Ensure compliance with permits and licensing for industrial estate operations.
• Lead crisis communication protocols and respond to external relations issues.
• Collaborate with operations, environment, and legal teams for coordinated engagement.
