Job summary

Asaba Group is seeking a Product Development Supervisor to lead a team in translating strategic vision into market-ready stationery products. You will oversee the full development cycle, collaborate across functions, and ensure timely delivery in line with business goals.

You will coordinate with design, marketing, engineering and operations, drive market research, and manage timelines while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any major (preferred from Management, Marketing, Economics or any major).
• 3+ years experience in Product Development Supervisor, Product Management, Senior Product Development or Product Supervisor.
• Experience in Stationery, Office & School products, Retail or FMCG is a plus.
• Experience in Design Packaging or New Product development.
• Experience handling suppliers from China (OEM/ODM) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English (Speaking and Writing) and Mandarin (conversation).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor product development team members, guiding projects to meet objectives on time and within budget.
• Oversee the entire product development cycle from concept through launch, aligned with strategy and market needs.
• Collaborate with marketing, design, engineering, and operations for seamless product delivery.
• Develop and maintain product timelines, milestones, and deliverables, addressing obstacles.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning and prioritisation.
• Gather customer insights to guide product enhancement and innovation.
• Prepare reports, business cases, and recommendations for senior management.
• Manage product documentation, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
