Job summary

PT GIK TECH BERJAYA INDONESIA is seeking a seasoned quality management professional to lead supplier quality and process improvement in manufacturing. You will drive eight-discipline quality methods, audits, and defect reductions across materials and production.

The role requires extensive experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction, with emphasis on ESG and quality system integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (full-time) in electronics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, chemistry, statistics or related fields.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with at least 5 years in quality management.
• Proficiency in ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audits.
• Expertise in 7 quality improvement methodologies including 8D, PDCA, SPC, QC.
• Knowledge of automotive products, consumer electronics, and new product QC.
• Strong QMS, ESG principles, and product QA knowledge.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, QC methods; APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP.
• Excellent learning ability, agile thinking, leadership, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle anomalies from incoming material inspections and production defects; drive supplier improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to report issues and improve incoming material qualification rate.
• Improve IQC detection to prevent defects from entering production.
• Lead 8D reviews, analyze defects statistically, and document verification results for materials.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• 1. Handle anomalies identified during incoming material inspection, material issues during production, and customer-reported material defects; drive continuous improvement from suppliers.
• 2. Coordinate with suppliers to report incoming material issues, collaborate with them to address these issues, and enhance the incoming material qualification rate.
• 3. Improve IQC detection capabilities to prevent defective materials from entering production or proceeding to subsequent processes.
• 4. Process supplier acknowledgment letters and follow up on abnormal work hours; confirm material anomalies and provide feedback to suppliers requesting responses regarding both temporary and long-term corrective measures; conduct 8D reports to review confirmed anomalies; perform statistical analysis of defects; lead production line defect resolution efforts; organize and document verification results for new and defective materials; and complete other tasks assigned by management.

Job qualification:

• 1. Bachelor's degree (full-time) or higher in electronics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, chemistry, statistics, or related fields;
• 2. Over 10 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years specializing in quality management;
• 3. Proficiency in ISO 9001/IATF 16949 quality management systems and VDA 6.3 process audits;
• 4. Expertise in applying seven key quality improvement methodologies including 8D, PDCA, SPC, and QC;
• 5. Knowledge of automotive products, consumer electronics, and principles of new product quality control.
• 6. Proficient in quality management systems, e-cigarette quality standards, mathematical statistics, material and process technologies, industry-specific knowledge, company-specific knowledge, e-cigarette product knowledge, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
• 7. Proficient in applying seven core methodologies—ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, QC methods; along with tools such as APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP. Key competencies include: quality system operation assurance, internal/external audit coordination, application of quality management tools, supplier evaluation, project management, and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) skills. Demonstrates strong customer service awareness, communication and coordination skills, problem‑solving and analytical abilities, teamwork capabilities, stress resilience, and a results‑oriented mindset.
• 8. Possess strong competencies: learning ability, agile thinking, training guidance skills, and mathematical literacy; along with robust proactive communication skills, teamwork abilities, execution capabilities, and problem‑solving skills.
